Segovia is a city that retains much of its heritage from the Roman Empire and medieval European times. You can see the cityscape of Spain, which is different from those in the north, such as England and Germany, and is very southern European.
As for tourists, there were many Asian and black tourists as well as local European tourists. So I think this city is famous among tourists.
To tell the truth, I happened to know the existence of Segovia while I was sightseeing in Spain, and I did not know it before that. However, walking around the city, I felt that it is indeed a historical and attractive city that many tourists would like to visit.
Time slip in Segovia, Spain?
First of all, here is the Segovia Cathedral, which everyone will visit when they come to Segovia. I was unintentionally impressed by its otherworldly atmosphere, like a castle from Dragon Quest.
The cathedral reminds me a little of buildings in Arab countries, perhaps because Spain is geographically close to Arab countries such as Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
I also took some pictures from a little farther away. What can I say, I felt as if I had time-traveled to a world several hundred years ago.
According to a local Spaniard, Segovia is one of the most historical cities in Spain. I guess it is like Kyoto in Japan.
This is the Alcazar, a castle that already existed around the 12th century. This also reminds me personally of the castle in Dragon Quest.
I personally enjoyed the city of Segovia quite a bit, as many of the streets and buildings look like the real world versions of the games I used to enjoy playing.

Finally, this is a side note, but I found a Japanese word in Segovia called “buttocks. What I would like to ask the creator of this buttocks is if there is any reason why he chose buttocks among the many Japanese words.
