The first Firefly Festival season has arrived since Blue Art Hostel opened in my hometown of Kitahiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture.

Firefly Festival Schedule

From Blue Art Hostel in Kitahiroshima Town, Hiroshima Prefecture, you can walk to a riverbank where fireflies flit about in just five minutes.

And nearby, accessible by car, a firefly festival is held.

The 19th Nanto Maiinsaru! Ho-ho Hotaru-koi Festival

The Firefly Festival in Asahi-cho, Hamada City, a famous spot for fireflies, offers stage events such as talks by firefly experts and Iwami Kagura, as well as a bazaar.

Ikadatsu Firefly Festival Fireflies and Kagura Festival

Enjoy firefly viewing at the source of the Eno River in Ikatsu and a performance of kagura.

Iwato Firefly Festival

There will also be stage events such as trout fishing ponds, handmade food stalls, and kagura performances.
