Today I would like to talk about the “Mt. Kake E-BIKE Tour in Autumn” with Troy and Steve from Australia.
Pick up at the Oasa Interchange bus stop
Troy and Steve arrived at the “Oasa Interchange bus stop” at 10:14 a.m. on the JR bus that departed from Hiroshima Station at 9:00 a.m.
A Hope Taxi from Oasa Kotsu picked them up and took them to the O.M.S. Oasa Mobility Station.
O.M.S Oasa Mobility Station
A few minutes from the Oasa Interchange, you will arrive at the Oasa Mobility Station.
After preparing your e-bike (electric bicycle), adjusting the height of the saddle, checking the beverages, and explaining how to use the bike, you will go to the restroom before departure.

Since the Tengushide community is a steep climb, we took a break at the nearby Riverside park before that.
National Natural Monument Oasa Tengushide Community
We are here at the “Oasa Tengushide Community,” which is unique in the world.
The Tengushidee community, more than 150 years old, is designated as a national natural monument and offers a variety of seasonal pleasures.
Aiming for the summit of Mt. Kake
The weather is improving.
Troy and Steve still had plenty of energy, so we decided to head for the summit of Mt.
From the 400-meter-high Oasa Station, we will pass through the Tengushidai (Japanese stone fern) colony before reaching the 752-meter-high summit of Mount Kakeyama.
Kakeizan summit is located at the end of a hard day’s work.
It was worth coming from Australia to see the wonderful view!
I was impressed that it was a spectacular view.
Ai no Sato Herb Garden
At the Ai no Sato Herb Garden, you’ll enjoy a healthy and delicious lunch of pork and homegrown vegetables.
Fukumitsu Brewery
At the end of the tour, we visited the “Fukumitsu Shuzo” and tasted the most delicious “doburoku”.

We had a little time before the bus departed, so we bought some beer at Kakeya Brewery shop and toasted to our success.

- Oasa IC: Arrive at 10:14 a.m.
- O.M.S Oasa Mobility Station: Arrive at 10:30 a.m.
- E-BIKE Tour: 11:00 – 15:00
- O.M.S Oasa Mobility Station: Departure at 15:30
- O.M.S Oasa IC: Departure by JR Bus at 3:44 p.m.
- Hiroshima Station: Arrive at 16:58
